Sharjeel Khan Career

Sharjeel Khan is an International Pakistani cricketer, he was born 14 th August 1989, in Hyderabad Sindh. He is one of the aggressive left-handed opening batsmen and occasionally the Leg-break bowler of the Pakistan cricket team, although Sharjeel did not have a great start in his domestic career his performances improved over time. He has been a part of the team Hyderabad Hawks in the year 2015-16, in 2009 team Hyderabad, and in 2011 team ZTBL. In 2013 Pakistan “A” cricket team and the Islamabad United team picked him for the PSL season 2016. In 2009 Sharjeel made his first-class debut for Hyderabad he played against Islamabad.

He is the defensive opening batsman and also the legs spin bowler. Sharjeel Khan made his name for himself with T20 blitzes in his country Pakistan in domestic competition, he is a very good domestic player. Sharjeel Khan was a part of the Bronze medal-winning team Asian Games in Guangzhou, China in 2010. Sharjeel’s first tour was against Sri Lanka, he was picked for the One Day International and also T20 squads in December 2013 in UAE against Sri Lanka. Even though he is on the list of a good opening batsman, Sharjeel was valuable in giving Pakistan a rapid and good start in the initial overs. Due to his good skills in cricket selectors retained faith in his skills and abilities and selected him as a part of Pakistan’s World T20 in 2014.

Sharjeel was a part of IU Islamabad United’s squad. Sharjeel becomes the 1 st player in the history of PSL who scored a century against possibly bowling line of in the inaugural PSL Peshawar Zalmi. He made 117 runs from 62 balls in qualifier 3 and by his effort, he took his team to the final match. In the final Islamabad United faced Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United won the tournament by 6 wickets.
