Mustafizur Rahman Early Life and Childhood

Mustafizur Rahman was born on 6 September 1995, in a remote area of Satkhira, Khulna, Bangladesh. His father’s name is Abdul Qasem Gazi and his mother’s name is Mahmuda Khatun. Mustafizur Rahman has three brothers and two sisters and he is younger among them. Mustafizur Rahman is very simple and quiet according to his family. He has plus point that all of his brothers played cricket. He grew up in his local district and used to learn and play cricket from the local coach. His elder brother Muklesur Rahman supported and helped him very much to build up a career in the world of cricket. He is left-handed even though he ate with his left hand. Eventually, Mustafizur Rahman used his left hand to do every other thing or work without eating.

Mustafizur Raman’s Education

Mustafizur Rahman received his early education from Boreya Zilani High School. He was very inattentive to his studies. Due to this act, he was often scolded and sometimes beaten by his teachers and also parents. His father Abdul Qasem Gazi wished to make him a doctor, but Mustafizur Rahman had high attention to sports. He was too liked to play cricket. His academic activity and results were not good, bud he was excellent in sports, he played cricket and football very well. His attraction was very high for football, gradually his attraction increased to cricket.

Mustafizur Rahman Early Career

Due to his elder brother, who helped him a lot to play cricket and also build up a career to enter the cricket world, Mustafizur Rahman comes to Dhaka to join the camp of pace bowlers in the year 2012. He showed outstanding performance in the U-17 competition in his own home district Satkhira and he was integrated into the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Pace Foundation. In the United Arab Emirates, in the U-19 World Cup, Mustafizur Rahman showed tremendous and magnificent performance, he picked up 8 wickets. He introduced himself with his best bowling talent in this world cup.

Mustafizur Rahman International Career

Mustafizur Rahman made his International Debut on 24 April 2015 against Pakistan in a one-off T20 match. In his first international match, Mustafizur showed good performance and he picked up 2 wickets, he took the wickets of two great cricketers Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez.

Mustafizur Rahman grabbed attention during against India series in Bangladesh. In this series, Mustafizur Rahman has made a historical debut against India on June 18, 2015. He became the second bowler in One Day International after Zimbabwe’s cricketer Brian Vitori picked up two five-wicket hauls in his 1 st 2 matches. In reality, Mustafizur Rahman is the only bowler to get a total of 11 wickets in his first two matches. In his 3 rd One Day International against India, he got 2 wickets and made great history by taking 13 wickets in a 3-match ODI series.

Mustafizur Rahman Country Cricket Debut

Bangladeshi sensational bowler Mustafizur Rahman was picked up by the Sussex Sharks as a second overseas cricketer for the T20 Blast. He kicks off the journey in country cricket by winning the title of the man of the match award in his debut match, Mustafizur Rahman got four wickets and his team won over Essex Eagle at Chelmsford on 21 July 2016. Mustaizur’s four wickets haul leads his team to get the winning title in the match. He keeps holding his consecutive outstanding performance also in the Country Cricket.

Mustafizur Rahman IPL 2016

Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in the IPL season 2016, Mustafizur Rahman was picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Due to his magnificent and brilliant performance throughout the tournament, the Sunrisers Hyderabad won the winning title of the tournament, where Mustafizur Rahman took 17 wickets in 16 matches. He won the award “Emerging Player of the Tournament” as a 1 st overseas player.

Mustafizur Rahman BPL- Bangladesh Premier League

Mustafizur Rahman played for the Dhaka Dynamites in BPL season 2015. In this tournament he took 14 wickets in just 10 matches, he showed outstanding performance in this tournament.

Mustafizur Rahman PSL-Pakistan Super League

Mustafizur Rahman was picked by the Lahore Qalandars in PSL-Pakistan Super League. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was reluctant to let him go there and play the game. In early 2016 Mustafizur Rahman got a shoulder injury and due to this reason, he could not play in PSL 2016.

Controversies

In Mustafizur Rahman’s first One Day International against India, he was involved in an on-field collision with MS Dhoni (Indian Captain). It was alleged that Mustafizur Rahman was deliberately standing in the path while MS Dhoni was running and they both collided. He was fined 50 percent of his match fee for that incident.
