AB de Villiers was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and attended Afrikaans High School for boys, his father was a doctor and encouraged his son to play sports. AB de Villier’s talent as a right-handed batsman was clear or evident through his schooling days. In 2004 de Villiers started his career as an international cricketer, at that time he was just 20 years old. On 16 December 2004 de Villiers played his debut against England, his performance in the ICC World Cup 2007 was also the best, he is an outstanding fielder, de Villiers best performance against India, as he becomes the first South African cricketer who made a double century against India, as he scored 217 runs not remained not out.

AB made 149 runs on 44 balls with 16 sixes in this inning, he equaled the record of Rohit Sharma.

In the World Cup 2015 he played another thrilling and unbeaten inning against West Indies, he scored 162* runs in just 66 balls with 17 fours and 8 sixes, he made the record of a second fastest century and also the fastest ever 150 runs just 64 balls in the One Day International Cricket history.
