Kane Williamson was born on 8th August 1990 in Tauranga, New Zealand. His full name is Kane Stuart Williamson, in the cricket world, he has nicknames, Kane and New Zealand’s Don Bradman. His father’s name is Brett Williamson and his mother’s name is Sandra Williamson. Kane has three elder sisters and a brother, Kane is number five among all of them. Williamson has his twin brother Logan who is a few minutes younger than him, they are an athlete. In 2008, at the age of 17 years, Kane led the New Zealand Under-19 squad in the World Cup. On 10th August 2010, Kane Williamson made his ODI debut against India, in his debut match he was dismissed for a 9th ball at the duck. In the second test match, Kane was bowled by Angelo Mathews for a 2nd ball duck. Kane made his maiden One Day International century on 14th October 2010 against Bangladesh in Dhaka. After hitting the century he became the youngest centurion in his team’s Test history. On 4 November 2010 Kane made his Test debut against India at Ahmedabad, Kane in his first innings made 131 runs and became the 8th New Zealand Cricketer to score a century on his Test debut. In June 2014 Kane Williamson scored 161 runs against West Indies, it was Kane’s second test century that helped his team victory in this series and Kane finished as the leading run scorer overall in the series with 413 runs. Kane Williamson was also selected as captain ahead of the One Day International series against Pakistan.

In 2015, Kane scored 69 and 242 runs against Sri Lanka, took 2 catches, and got the title of Man of the Match, on 3 February 2015, Kane helped his team score the 99th One Day International century in the New Zealand team’s history against Pakistan. In the same match, Ross Tylor also hit the century. He also crossed over 700 runs before the 2015 World Cup. On 17th June 2015, he became the 5th fastest batsman and also the fastest New Zealander to score 3,000 runs in 78 innings.
