Tamim Iqbal was born on Monday 20 March 1989 in Chittagong, Bangladesh, his full name is Tamim Iqbal Khan. Tamim’s father late Iqbal Khan was a popular footballer. Tamim’s mother’s name is Nusrat Iqbal and she is a housewife. Test cricketer Nafees Iqbal is his elder brother and his uncle Akram Khan was the captain of the national team of Bangladesh he is also the present prime selector of the Bangladesh national team. Tamim Iqbal Career

Tamim was passionate about cricket from his childhood. Tamim played the U-19 world cup in 2006 at Sri Lanka stadium against Sri Lanka. After this world, Tamim was picked for the 2007 World Cup. Tamim performed very well in the 2007 world cup and for his better performance in this world cup he was selected in the Bangladesh team and he was just played two matches against Zimbabwe. Tamim played in the group stage of the match against India scoring 51 from 53 balls, and his team won the match to his help score. Tamim successfully made a place in the Test format. On 4-6 January 2008, Tamim made his Test debut against New Zealand, at the University Oval, Dunedin. During the first innings of the first Test match against England, Tamim scored 86 runs from 120 balls and he became the fastest Bangladeshi batsman who reaches 1,000 Test runs in terms of innings taking 19 to achieve the landmark. Tamim became the third-youngest international cricketer in Test history to get the millstones of 1,000 Test runs after Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Ashraful.

Tamim made his first test century against West Indies at Kingstown, and his score helped the Bangladesh team to register their maiden overseas Test Victory. He conquered myriad records so early into his Test Career. Tamim’s crowning success came in 2010 when he listed his name inscribed on the Lord’s honors board with a century in the second innings.
